Donna Bell And Jay-Lee Longbottom Named To NGCA All-American Scholar Team

PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University student-athletes Donna Bell and Jay-Lee Longbottom were named to the 2002-03 National Golf Coaches Association Division I All-American Scholar Team, the organization announced July 18.

Bell, a three-time Pacific-10 Conference all-academic honoree, capped her WSU career with a third consecutive selection to the NGCA team. Incoming junior Longbottom, who posted three top 10 efforts in 2002-03, earned her first selection to the squad. Both student-athletes were selected to the 2003 Pac-10 Women's Golf All-Academic First Team last month.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team is a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 (3.40 for seniors) and student-athletes must have competed in at least 66 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
