Kevin Davis Finishes Second at Pan Am Championships

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados - University of California sophomore Kevin Davis finished second in the men's 3000-meter steeplechase (9:06.20) at the Pan American Junior Championships at the Barbados National Stadium in Waterford, St. Michael.

Ecuador's Christian Patino won the event in a time of 9:05.70.

Davis earned a spot on the USA Junior Championship team after winning the 3000m steeplechase at the USA Track and Field Junior Championships, hosted by Stanford in late June. Davis captured the 3000m steeplechase title with a personal best time of 9:01.34. He led the Golden Bears in the event last season with a then-PR of 9:06.16.
