Four Bruins Among the Leaders at Pacific Coast Amateur

Four UCLA golfers are among the leaders at the 37th Annual Pacific Coast Amateur Championship being played at Capilano Country Club in Vancouver, BC this week.

UCLA seniors Roy Moon and John Merrick climbed the leaderboard Wednesday with solid second round scores. Moon fired a four-under par 66 and Merrick posted a one-under par 69. Each player is tied for third place at three-under par 137. Senior Travis Johnson posted a one-under par 69 and is tied for 13th at 139. Former UCLA All-American Parker McLachlin also is tied for 13th place.

James Lepp of Abbotsford, BC fired an eight-under par 62 in the second round and leads the field at 10-under par 130. Craig Doell of Victoria, BC is second at four-under par 136.
