Softball Hosts First Annual Golf Tournament

BERKELEY, Calif. - The Diamond Club/Friends of Cal softball is proud to announce that it will host its first golf tournament at the Crow Canyon Country Club in San Ramon. Cal softball, the 2002 NCAA National Champion and runner-up in the 2003 Women's College World Series, has established this golf tournament as the cornerstone for raising financial support. Proceeds from the event will benefit the annual operating needs of Cal softball, allowing it to continue competing among the nation's elite programs. The participation and contributions of Cal supporters for this tournament is very much appreciated.

Participants are invited to organize their own foursomes, or allow the tournament committee to appoint a group or playing partner. The tournament will accommodate 72 participants on a first-come, first-served basis, and please register early for this event.

Tournament entry fee is $185 per person and includes golf, cart, tee prizes, lunch and full-course dinner at the Crow Canyon Country Club. For those unavailable to play but would like to attend the evening?s dinner and auction/raffle program, the fee is only $50.

The tournament includes the following:

  • Scramble format
  • Shotgun start
  • Registration begins at 10:30 AM
  • BBQ lunch, dinner
  • Team prizes to be awarded for Low Net and Low Gross
  • Silent auction/Raffle (include trips, MLB and NHL autographed items, and more)
