Dan Westcott Takes 11th In World University Games 50 Fly

Daegu, South Korea - Stanford men's swimmer Dan Westcott (The Woodlands, TX) finished 11th overall and third in the consolation finals of the 50 meter fly at the 2003 World University Games on Friday. Westcott had earned gold (50 meter back) and silver (100 meter back) earlier in the week at the event.
Westcott finished with a time of 24.77 in the consolation finals of the 50 meter fly after clocking in at 24.74 in the prelims, qualifying 10th.
The U.S. Men's and Women's Teams won five more medals on Friday, bringing the U.S. total to 18 through the first five days of competition.
