Women's Volleyball Sweeps Idaho

MISSOULA, MT - The 11th-ranked UCLA women's volleyball team opened play at the Ruby's Montana Invitational on Friday evening with a 3-0 win over Idaho. Game scores were 30-23, 30-25, 30-25 as the Bruins hit .409 for the match.

Junior Heather Cullen led the Bruins offensively in the match, downing 17 kills with a .600 attack percentage (17 kills, 2 errors, 25 attacks). Defensively, junior libero Chrissie Zartman led all players with 10 digs.

UCLA out-blocked the Vandals by a 9-6 margin. Cullen was UCLA's top blocker with one solo and three block assists. Brynn Murphy and Nancy Barba were also involved in three blocks on the day.

The Bruins hit .452 in game one, .419 in game two and .355 in game three, while the Vandals hit .198 for the match.

UCLA returns to action on Saturday with matches against Boise State and host Montana.
