'We will be facing some of the very best in the nation this upcoming season,' head coach Bill Ryden said. 'The quality of teams we will face will put pressure on us to perform our best week in and week out and will definitely prepare us for the postseason. I like our schedule and the fact that we can stay at home at the end of the season. That can work in our favor if our team works hard and does its job up to that point.'
Of Arizona's 14 opponents in 2004, nine of those teams were ranked in the final 2003 Top-25. The Wildcats will return 12 gymnasts from last year's squad, including 2003 National Championship participant, junior Monica Bisordi and adds three freshman newcomers to the roster.
