Husky Golf Teams Ranked in Preseason Poll

Seattle - Both the men's and women's golf teams at Washington are ranked in the three major preseason polls. Husky senior Brock Mackenzie has been named to Golfweek's preseason All-America team and is listed on Golf World's Top-10 List.
Both Golfweek and Golf World ranked the Washington men's team 14th in their preseason polls. The Husky women's team is 15th in the Golf World standings and 22nd in the Golfweek poll. The Washington men were ranked 18th in the Golf Coaches Association poll while the Husky women were 21st in the National Golf Coaches Association.
Mackenzie is ranked as the number six college player in the nation by Golfweek. The three-time All-American finished fifth at the 2003 NCAA Championships and recently competed for the United States team in the Walker Cup. Mackenzie is one of four Pac-10 players named to Golfweek's preseason All-America team. The others were Arizona's Chris Nallen (fifth), Arizona State's Alejandro Canizaes (seventh) who is the defending NCAA champion and California's Peter Tomasulo (eighth).
Morgan was a third-team preseason All-American by Golfweek. Last season she finished fourth at the NCAA West Regional Championship and earned honorable mention All-American accolades.
