Golfers Climb Leaderboard at Fall Preview

The UCLA women's golf team climbed the leaderboard at the Fall Preview, hosted by the Auburn University at Auburn National Golf Course.

The Bruins, ranked second entering the tournament, posted a round of 297, six shots better than their first round score and are tied for sixth place at 600 withVanderbilt. Arizona took over the lead from host Auburn and leads by one stroke at 583 to Auburn's 584. Duke is third at 586, followed by Oklahoma at 592 and Oklahoma State at 599.

Indvidually for the Bruins, All-American Charlotte Mayorkas posted a two-under par 70 for a 36-hole total of 143, one-under par, tied for third place. Sophomore Susie Mathews is tied for 28th at 150, followed by senior Hana Kim, tied for 38th at 152. Freshman Hannah Jun is tied for xx at 158 and senior Bridget Dwyer is tied for 84th at 165.

Arizona's Erica Blasberg leads the tournament with a three-under par total of 141.
