Cougar Men Tied For Fifth After Two Rounds At The Mean Green Invite

FlOWER MOUND, Texas - Led by senior Ryan Camp, the Cougar men's golf team is tied for fifth place after the first two rounds of the Mean Green Invitational at the par 72, 7,135 yard Lantana Golf Club course, Monday.
The Cougar team shot a 584 (+8) and is only three shots behind 16-time national champion Houston for fourth place and four shots behind third place Texas State. As a team, the Cougars shot a tournament low of 282 in the second round (-6).
Camp played consistent golf by firing a 73 in the first round and a 71 in the second to finish at144 (E) for the day. He is currently tied for 14th and is only four shots behind leaders Adrien Mork of McNeese State University and Brandon Weaver of Western Kentucky University.
Redshirt freshman Jordan Madison fired a 2-under 70 in the second round to finish at 146 (+2) and is tied for 25th. Senior Isaac Woods improved on a first round score of 77 by firing a 70 in the second to finish at 147 (+3). Woods and sophomore Chad Carlson are both tied for 26th.
Freshman Matt Fladwood shot a 151 (+9) and junior Ben Bryson rounded out the Cougar contingent with a 158 (+14). The final round will be held Tuesday.
