Jackson's touchdown was the 26th rushing touchdown of his career; that moved him into sole possession of second place on OSU's all-time list of career leaders. Jackson moved in front of Bill Enyart (1966-68); he trails only Ken Simonton (59 touchdowns, 1998-2001).
Jackson now has rushed for 2,625 yards in his OSU career, moving him into second place on the Beavers' list of all-time leaders. Oregon State quarterback Derek Anderson completed 19 of 37 passes for 408 yards and 1 touchdown; he was not intercepted. That was a career high in passing yardage for Anderson, and it was the third-highest single-game mark in OSU history behind only Jonathan Smith's 469 yards at Washington in 1998 and Erik Wilhelm's 461 yards against Akron in 1987.
Anderson also rushed for 8 yards. His 416 yards of total offense was a career high, and it was the fourth-best single-game mark in OSU history.
Oregon State wide receiver James Newson caught 9 passes for 208 yards. That was a career-high in receiving yardage for Newson, and it was the third-highest mark for single-game receiving yardage in OSU history.
Oregon State placekicker Kirk Yliniemi had a career-long 51-yard field goal in the first quarter; that tied him for the 10th-longest field goal in school history. Yliniemi's 4 field goals in Saturday's game ties the Oregon State single-game record, last accomplished by Ryan Cesca against Arizona in 2000, and the Reser Stadium record, last accomplished by Jose Cortez against California in 1998. Yliniemi extended his school-record streak of successful field goal attempts to 20 before missing an attempt late in the second quarter, then added another field goal in the third quarter.
Oregon State's 562 yards total offense was the 10th-highest single-game mark in OSU history. The Beavers' 408 yards passing was the third-highest single-game total in OSU history.
With Saturday's win, OSU has won 6 straight games at Reser Stadium and 25 of its last 28 home games. Oregon State has now won 17 straight non-conference home games.
Saturday's crowd of 35,963 was the 19th consecutive sellout at Reser Stadium; the first game of the sellout streak was OSU's 31-21 win over eighth-ranked Southern California on Sept. 30, 2000.
