Sept. 24, 2003

Boise, ID - Former USC golfer Roger Tambellini shot four rounds in the 60s and cruised to victory Sept. 21 at the Nationwide Tour's Boise Open.

Tambellini, who played at USC from 1994-1997, sandwiched a pair of 68s around a second-round 65 and third-day 66 for a 17-under 267 total, six strokes ahead of his nearest challengers.

'This feels amazing,'' Tambellini said. 'To finally be able to do this for my family, hometown and all of those who have supported me is fantastic.''

Tambellini earned $108,000 to jump from 72nd to 18th on the money list with $157,143.

Tripp Isenhour (64) and Charles Warren (70) finished second at 11 under while Ryan Palmer, winner of the Clearwater Classic in March, was in a group of four players at 274.
