No. 16 Cal Loses to Missouri, 1-0

COLUMBIA, Mo. - No. 16 California lost to Missouri, 1-0, Friday night under cold conditions at Walton Soccer Complex. The Golden Bears fell to 4-2-3 overall, while the Tigers improved to 6-5, including a 5-0 mark at home.

Missouri defender Kim Hibbert tallied the game's only goal in the 16th minute. Melissa Peabody and Kristen Heil were credited with the assists.

The Tigers outshot the Bears, 8-7, and sophomore forward Tracy Hamm paced Cal with three shots. Cal and Missouri each had four shots on goal, but the Bears couldn't convert their opportunities.

Cal also couldn't capitalize on a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Bears look to get back on track Sunday at Marquette at 1 p.m. CT.
