Arizona's Warkentin and Hagman Advance at the ITA All-American

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Arizona men's tennis team completed play during day two of the Icy Hot/ITA All-American Saturday, Oct. 4. Carl Hagman and Paul Warkentin advance to the round of semifinals of the pre-qualifying, while Tom Lloyd fell in the quarterfinals.

Senior Carl Hagman defeated Josie Luis Lechuga of BYU, 7-6 (4), 6-2. The victory raises his record to 6-1. Junior Paul Warkentin defeated Jose Luis Muguruza of Georgia Tech, 6-3, 7-6 (8). The win improves Warkentin's record to 3-0 on the season.

Senior Tom Lloyd fell to Avery Ticer of Minnesota, 7-5, 6-2. Lloyd falls to 2-1 on the season.

Hagman will face Josh Cohen of Miami, while Warkentin is set to face Marek Dvorak of Colorado in the semifinals. The semifinals are scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 5.
