Men's Golf In Second After Two Rounds At Club Glove Intercollegiate

The Arizona State men's golf team is in second after two rounds of The Club Glove Intercollegiate being contested at Saticoy Country Club in Somis, California. The tournament concludes with the final 18 holes on Tuesday.

Alejandro Canizares is tied for eighth with a 1-over 145 (73-72). Freshman Niklas Lemke is tied for 10th at 146 (74-72). Other Sun Devils were Jesse Mueller and Ben Flam, who are tied for 20th at 150 (74-76) and Chez Reavie, who is tied for 32nd at 152 (78-74).

Paced by junior All-American Michael Putnam's 4-under par 36-hole total of 140, the Pepperdine men's golf team has an 18-stroke lead.

After a tournament-record 8-under 280 in the opening round, the Waves stand at 5-under par 571 following two rounds of play. Arizona State is second at 589 and Colorado State is third with a 592 score. Kansas and Tulsa are tied for fourth at 598.

Putnam is the tournament's individual leader after shooting rounds of 67 and 73 for a two-round score of 140. Teammate Randy Creighton is second, one shot back, after carding rounds of 71 and 70.
