Dru Hoshimiya Selected to Soccer America's Team of the Week

UCLA senior Dru Hoshimiya (South Pasadena, CA/South Pasadena HS) was selected to Soccer America's Team of the Week for games played Sept. 29-Oct. 5. Hoshimiya, playing at sweeper in place of injured captain Tony Lawson, scored a goal in the third minute to help defeat Oregon State 2-1 in the Pac-10 opener on Oct. 3. On Oct. 5, he led the Bruin defense to the team's sixth shutout of the season, 1-0 over 13th-ranked Washington.

This is Hoshimiya's first career honor by Soccer America and the fourth by a Bruin this season.
