Washington State Soccer Loses to No. 25 USC 1-0

Washington State let up the game-winning goal in the 70th minute to No. 25 USC, losing 1-0 Saturday, Oct. 11 at McAlister Field, Los Angeles, Calif.

USC's leading scorer and Pac-10 Player of the Week for Sept. 23-29, freshman Rosa Anna Tantillo scored the game-wining goal at the 69:30 mark Saturday, Oct. 11 to give USC the win over WSU in Pac-10 play. Jocelyn Leche recorded the assist for Tantillo's sixth goal of the season.

The Cougs recorded eight shots in the match, including shots by Sara Silver-Hill, Megan Cecchini and Haley Miller who came off the bench for Washington State. Both Nicole Wilcox and Rachel Rodrick had two shots in the match.

WSU goalkeeper Katie Hultin recorded four saves, three in the first half.

The Cougars will return to Pullman to face Pac-10 foes Oregon and Oregon State next weekend. Washington State will play Oregon Friday, Oct. 17 at 3 p.m.
