TUCSON, Ariz. - No. 18 California posted its sixth shutout of the season with a 3-0 victory over Arizona Sunday afternoon at Murphey Stadium. The Golden Bears (6-3-3, 1-1 Pac-10), who concluded a six-game road trip with a 3-3 record, return home next weekend to face USC on Friday, Oct. 17, at 3:30 p.m. The Wildcats fell to 4-7-1 (0-2 Pac-10).

Senior midfielder Kimberly Yokers put Cal on the board first in the 12th minute off a cross by Nadia Al-Lami. The goal was Yokers' third of the season, second in the last two games and gives her a team-best eight points. Freshman teammate Bri Wiles made the score 2-0 with less than three minutes left in the first half off a pass from sophomore forward Dania Cabello.

Cal freshman goalkeeper Anna Key came up with five saves to help the Bears secure the shutout despite being outshot 15-12.

Freshman forward Katie Ratican, who finished the day with a game-high four shots on-goal, iced the win for Cal in the 70th minute by dropping in a direct kick from the left side. Ratican had an outstanding Pac-10 opening weekend, posting two goals and an assist in two games.

Five of the Bears' six wins this season have been shutouts. Cal opened the season with a 2-1 triumph over Wisconsin.
