Kelley, OSU In Third After Two Rounds At Alister MacKenzie

The Oregon State men's golf team, led by Brian Kelley's 6-under 136, fired two consecutive 5-under rounds of 279 and sits alone in third place Monday after two rounds of the Alister MacKenzie Invitational at the par-71 Meadow Club.
Brian Kelley is tied for third place overall after carding a first-round 2-under 69, then following it up with a 4-under 67, his best of the season, in the afternoon second round. Kelley is just four strokes out of first place.
Sean Deacon is also in the top ten as he is tied for seventh, only two strokes back of Kelley at 138, which included a season-best 68 in the first round.
Northwestern leads the field with a two-round total of 546, just eight strokes ahead of fifth-ranked UCLA and 12 strokes ahead of Oregon State.
UCLA's Steve Conway posted a 10-under 132, including a record-tying second-round 65, and holds a three-stroke lead going into the final round.
The final round begins Tuesday morning at 8:00 a.m.
