PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Arizona women's golf team stands in seventh place Saturday after its second day of competition at the Stanford Women's Intercollegiate in Palo Alto, Calif.

The Wildcats hold seventh place for the second consecutive day, after shooting 7-over-par 583. Arizona trails second round leader Duke by 10 strokes after the Blue Devils shot an 11-under-par 559 on Saturday. First round leader, Washington (560), stands in second. UCLA (568) and California (577) occupy second and third, respectively. Vanderbilt stands in fifth after shooting a 3-over-par 579. New Mexico (582) rounds out the top-6 at sixth place.

Individually Arizona sophomore Erica Blasberg is tied for third with Washington's Paige Mackenzie, after shooting a second round 139 (-5) on Saturday. The sophomore from Corona, Calif. first career title came at last year's Stanford Women's Intercollegiate after she shot a 5-under-par 211.

Sophomore Lani Elston is tied at 32nd place after shooting 3-over-par 147 in round two. Sophomore Whitney Welch is tied for 34th at 4-over-par 148. Junior Mar Garcia is tied for 58th after shooting 8-over-par 152. Junior Miriam Kraschinski tied for 39th after shooting 9-over-par 153.

Also competing for Arizona as an individual is sophomore Katie Christy, who is tied for 93rd place after carding 27-over-par 171.

The Wildcats will tee off in Sunday's final round, shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. PST. The tournament is being played at Stanford Golf Course, a par 72, 6,168-yard layout.
