PAC-10 PLAYER OF THE WEEK
UCLA senior forward Matt Taylor has been named the Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 14-20.

Taylor, from Irvine, Calif., scored three goals and added two assists in two victories over California (Oct. 17) and Stanford (Oct. 19). In the 4-2 win over the Golden Bears, Taylor scored the first goal of the game, assisted on the go-ahead goal, and added the game-winner after Cal knotted the score. Against the Cardinal, Taylor again scored the first goal of the contest, which proved to be the game-winner. He also assisted on the Bruins' second goal of the game as UCLA prevailed 3-0.

Taylor has been on a tear this season, with 13 goals and 29 points in only 12 games. He has already tied the school record with four mulitiple-goal games this season. With goals in his last four games, Taylor is one game away from tying the UCLA record for consecutive games with a goal.

With two victories last week, the Bruins improved their record to 12-1-0 overall, and 5-0-0 in the Pac-10. UCLA, which has won 10 in a row, is again ranked No. 1 in this week's Soccer America poll.

This is Taylor's third weekly honor, his second this season, and the 16th all-time player of the week honor for the Bruins.

Also Nominated: Alan Gordon, Sr., F, OSU.
