Men's Tennis to Compete at ITA Regionals

Carson, Calif. - The UCLA men's tennis team will be in action this week, as the Bruins head to the Home Depot Center to compete at the ITA Fall Regional Championships hosted by USC.

Bruin senior Tobias Clemens is the tournament's top-seeded player and will face LMU's Mike Wojnarowicz in the first round on Thursday. Chris Lam is seeded third and will take on a qualifier.

Bruin junior Kris Kwinta, a 9-16 seed, faces San Francisco's Jorgen Arnesen. Fellow junior Alberto Francis, also a 9-16 seed, takes on a qualifier.

Two other Bruins competing in the main draw are Aaron Yovan and Chris Surapol. Yovan will face USC's Drew Hoskins in the first round and Surapol will face a qualifier.

Redshirt freshman Jason Nguyen will be competing in the qualifying on Wednesday.

In doubles, fifth-seeded Francis and Kwinta will take on Pacific's Lennart Maack/ Arnar Sigurdsson in the first round. Clemens and Yovan will take on Arizona's Daniel Andrus/Carl Hagman. Lam and Surapol have drawn USC's Johan Berg/Hoskins.
