The Cardinal will swim along with national rival Texas and Pac-10 foe USC ... USC finished third at last year's NCAA Championships, while Texas placed seventh ... The events versus Texas will be scored as a dual meet, while the competition versus USC will not be scored
  • All-Americans And Letterwinners Highlight Large Roster ... This year's Stanford team features a total of 29 student-athletes, including 10 All-American honors and 21 letterwinners from a year ago ... The Cardinal has a total of eight newcomers
  • Last Season ... Stanford finished sixth at the NCAA Championships last season, marking the first time the Cardinal had not finished in the top three at the NCAA's after placing third or better in each of the first 22 years of the event and had finished among the nation's top three for 27 straight seasons ... The Cardinal also finished second at the Pac-10 Championships and posted an 8-2 overall dual meet record with six victories over ranked teams, as well as a 4-1 Pac-10 mark
  • Dual Meet Success ... Stanford has won 22 of its last 24 dual meets dating back to the 2001-02 season ... The Cardinal posted 15 straight wins from January 26, 2001 through November 23, 2002
  • History ... Stanford has won eight NCAA titles (1983, '89, '92, '93, '94, '95, '96, '98), including six in the last 12 years, and nine national titles overall with an AIAW crown in 1980 ... Stanford has finished third or better 27 times in the 29-year history of intercollegiate women's swimming and diving on The Farm, which including a 27-year run from 1975-76 through 2001-02 ... Stanford has never finished lower than eighth nationally ... The Cardinal has also won the Pac-10 Championships 14 times in the 17-year history of the event, including the first 13 in a row from 1987-99 ...
