Oct. 24, 2003

Pitching/Catching Camp Application

The Washington State Baseball Program is hosting the Cougar Baseball Academy Jan. 17-19 at Washington State University. The WSU baseball coaching staff including head coach and assistants Donnie Marbut, Ryan Burst and Brent Fattore will staff the camp along with Cougar players. Guest coaching appearances will be made by Lance Lincoln and possible pro scouts.

'This is a good way for players to get first class coaching,' Fattore said. 'Not only will they receive coaching on the technical aspects of their game, but also with mental approaches.

'It is also a great chance for us to get good looks at players that we might not get to see otherwise,' Fattore added.

Pitching and Catching is the focus of the Jan. 17-19 academy. Eighty pitching and 20 catching openings are available for players grades 9-12. Registration is due Jan. 5.

The academy costs $195 per athlete and includes camp t-shirt, camp photo and a written evaluation. Registration forms are attached or contact Brent Fattore at for more information.
