Softball Garners No. 15 Ranking In All-Time USA Today/NFCA Poll

STARKSVILLE, Miss. - The Oregon State softball program garnered the No. 15 ranking in the USA Today/NFCA All-time Top 50 poll, as was announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. The poll was compiled using weekly rankings from the 1995 season to the final poll of 2003.

Oregon State has earned 18,020 points in the poll over the last nine years. The Beavers broke into the Top 25 for the first time during the 1997 campaign - head coach Kirk Walker's third season at the helm.

OSU has made five consecutive NCAA Regional Tournament appearances and has reached the tournament's championship game on three occasions, including 2003. The winner of the NCAA Regional Tournament advances to the Women's College World Series.

All eight Pacific-10 Conference teams were ranked in the all-time poll.
