ASU Tops OSU 1-0

Oregon State was limited to three shots and dropped a 1-0 decision to Arizona State on Sunday afternoon in Pacific-10 Conference women's soccer action.
OSU fell to 7-9-2 overall and 3-3-1 in Pac-10 play, while ASU moved to 10-4-3 and 4-2-1.
The Beavers wrap up the regular season this weekend when they host No. 3 UCLA Friday at 3 p.m. and USC at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
After a scoreless first half, ASU's Stephanie Ebner tallied an unassisted goal from 18 yards out in the 77th minute to give the Sun Devils the win.
OSU was outshot 17-3.
'This was a game where we defended well throughout and moved the ball well at times, but we didn't really threaten (ASU) much,' OSU coach Steve Fennah said.
OSU was without the services of forward Stacey Mescher, the team's fourth-leading scorer, who was serving a one-game mandatory suspension following a red card in OSU's 2-1 win over Arizona on Friday.
Amy Johnson made seven saves for OSU, and ASU's Kim Bingham made three.
'As a team, we gave a great effort today and the bench made solid contributions, but we never really threatened to win the game,' Fennah said. 'Melena Ertler played outstanding soccer again in our backline.'
