Georgia Defeats Arizona Women's Golfers In Second Round

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Sixth-seed Georgia defeated the third-seed Arizona women's golf team in the second round Monday after its second day of competition at the Hooters Collegiate Match Play Championship in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The Wildcats carded no wins verse the Bulldogs. Arizona moves into the consolation bracket to face Southern California in the third round later Monday.
Sophomore Whitney Welch and sophomore Lani Elston both were defeat, one up in round two. Sophomore Erica Blasberg lost 4 & 3 to Georgia's Natalia Nicholls. The Bulldog's Whitney Wade defeated junior Mar Garcia 3 & 2. Junior Miriam Kraschinski fell to Georgia's Allison Martin, 2 &1 in the second round.
The Wildcats will tee off in Monday afternoon's third round beginning at 12:15 p.m. EST. The tournament is being played at Barefoot Resort, Dye Course, a par 72, 7,343-yard layout.
