Cal Picked Third in Pac-10 Media Poll

LOS ANGELES - The Cal men's basketball is picked to finish in third place in the Pac-10 this season, according to a vote of media who cover Pac-10 basketball.

Defending regular-season champion Arizona was the media's choice to win the conference, followed by Stanford and Cal. The Wildcats garnered 26 of 35 first-place votes, with Stanford taking seven, and Cal and USC one each.

The media poll has correctly predicted the eventual champion 10 of the past 14 years.
