Nov. 7, 2003
Los Angeles, Calif. - Ashlee Rosenthal, Brooke Sullivan and Cassidy Krug finished second, third and fourth, respectively, in the 3-meter competition Friday at the Trojan Diving Invitational. Rosenthal (465.60) was just edged by USC's Nicci Fusaro (468.85) for the individual title. Sullivan scored 438.25 points, while Krug had 437.30. Sara Bowling also reached the finals for the Cardinal, finishing in sixth-place with 422.40 points. Erin Lashnits placed 10th with 357.65 points in the prelims.
'The placement was great,' said Stanford diving coach Dr. Rick Schavone, 'But, it's still too early in the season to be able to judge much from it.'
The Trojan Diving Invitational continues on Saturday with the women competing in the platform competition. Prelims are slated to begin at 10:00 am, while finals start at 1:00 pm. However, Stanford is not scheduled to compete in the event.
