TEMPE, Ariz. - For the second consecutive year and the third time in the past four years, the 14th-ranked Arizona State soccer team earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament, as the 64-team field was announced Monday. The Sun Devils (12-4-3), who finished second in the Pac-10 Conference race, will travel to Santa Clara, California (also for the second straight year) to face Cal Poly (18-1-2) in the first round.
The first round match up between ASU and Cal Poly is scheduled for Friday, November 14 at 6:00 p.m. (Arizona time). Host and ninth-seeded Santa Clara (12-3-5) will take on Pac-10 opponent Stanford (10-8-2) in the other first round match at 8:30 p.m. The two winners of the first round matches will play each other in the second round on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
