Over 100 People Attend the 2003 Meet the Bears Day

Nov. 10, 2003

BERKELEY, Calif. - The California women's basketball team hosted another successful Meet the Bears Day on November 7 at Haas Pavilion.

The day began with a continental breakfast and a chance to watch Cal practice.

Over 100 enthusiastic children and parents then participated in 10 different drill stations coached by the players. Guard Kristin Iwanaga led ballhandling, center Olga Volkova oversaw one-on-one drills, Alisa Lewis directed the agility ladder and Leigh Gregory led defensive slides, to name a few areas.

Cal head coach Caren Horstmeyer addressed the attendees and got them fired up about Golden Bear basketball.

After the clinic, the kids collected autographs from the players and got their pictures taken in a Cal uniform. Many young Bear fans went home happy.
