Nov. 13, 2003
TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Arizona men's basketball team's 2003-04 regular season opener will be televised live in Southern Arizona by Fox Sports Net Arizona.
The contest with Northern Arizona, scheduled for Monday, Nov. 24, will tip-off in McKale Center at 6:30 p.m. MST. It will be broadcast live in Tucson and surrounding communities on Fox Sports Net Arizona. The game will also be carried live in the Flagstaff and Phoenix regions of the state on the UPN network (channel 7 in Flagstaff/channel 45 in Phoenix).
The announcement leaves one date still tentative on the UA basketball broadcast schedule. A carrier is still pending for the Sunday, Dec. 28, game with Liberty in the first round of the Fiesta Bowl Classic presented by Bank One.
Arizona enters the 2003-04 season with eight returning lettermen from last year's 28-4 club that won the Pac-10 championship and advanced to the NCAA West Regional final. The Wildcats are ranked No. 4 in both the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today men's college basketball polls.
