Baseball Adds Right-Hander To Recruiting Class

TUCSON, Ariz.- Right-hander Javier Guerra has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to play at Arizona, head coach Andy Lopez announced on Friday. His commitment brings Arizona's early signing period class to 13 players and pitchers.

Guerra, the No. 9-ranked player in Texas by the Texas Baseball News, helped lead Denton Ryan High School to the state finals last season, finishing with 15-0 record on the mound. He also participated at the 2003 Area Code Games in Long Beach, Calif. Guerra is the son of Martha Guerra and plays for coach Brett Warnack at Ryan High School.
