CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Derek Anderson passed for 383 yards and fourtouchdowns and Mike Hass had eight catches for 225 yards and two scores, givingOregon State a 43-3 victory over Stanford on Saturday.
Steven Jackson, who leads the Pacific-10 in rushing, ran for 148 yards on 21carries and another touchdown in nearly constant drizzle as the Beavers (7-3,4-2) all but assured themselves a bowl bid.
The Beavers play Oregon in Eugene next week in the Civil War before visitingNo. 2 Southern California on Dec. 6.
The Cardinal (4-5, 2-5) had won two straight and had hopes of bowleligibility - a wish the Beavers considerably dimmed. Stanford next hasCalifornia in the annual Big Game before hosting Notre Dame and former coachTyrone Willingham.
Anderson completed 26 of 48 passes with one interception. Hass had eightcatches for 225 yards, while Tim Euhus - a senior tight end playing in hisfinal game at Reser Stadium - had six catches for 61 yards and two touchdowns.
The last time the Beavers came off a bye they got upset 38-17 by Washington,so coming off the break before Stanford they struck quickly, jumping out to a14-3 first-quarter lead on Anderson's 9-yard TD pass to Euhus and a 52-yardscoring pass to Hass.
Stanford's lone score came on a 36-yard field goal by Michael Sgroi in windyand wet conditions in the opening quarter.
Oregon State widened the gap when Brandon Browner intercepted Lewis' pass, and Anderson found Hass with a 53-yard touchdown pass a play later.
Jackson added a reaching 3-yard touchdown run to make it 28-3 before KirkYliniemi kicked a 28-yard field goal as time wound down to make it 31-2 athalftime.
Yliniemi added a 27-yarder early in the fourth quarter, and Euhus ran in a20-yard scoring pass from Anderson before a safety in the final minutes for thefinal margin.
Jackson would not say if Saturday's game would be his last at Reser.Questions about whether he'd leave Oregon State for the NFL have dogged thejunior all season.
The fans who braved the wind and drizzle started chanting 'One more year!'at Jackson as time ran out.
Jackson went into the game atop the Pac-10 with 124.2 rushing yards per gameand is the league's defending rushing leader.
Stanford was considered out of it after a 35-0 blanking by Oregon, butrebounded with wins against UCLA and Arizona State in successive weeks.
But they were thoroughly outplayed by the Beavers.
Stanford had a loss of seven total yards offense in the second quarter, andmanaged 76 yards of total offense in the half. Oregon State held the Cardinalto a loss of 12 yards on ground for the game.
Last season, Oregon State went to Palo Alto and fell behind 21-6 beforerallying to win 31-21.
