Bruin Women's Basketball Wins Exhibition Finale

Los Angeles, Calif. - Freshman Noelle Quinn scored a team-high 25 points to help lead UCLA past the West Coast All-Stars by a score of 93-73 in an exhibition game played tonight in Pauley Pavilion. It was the final exhibition tune-up for the Bruins, who will open the regular season at home on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. against UNLV.
The Bruins took the lead in game for good at the 16:50 mark of the first half at 6-5. The West Coast All-Stars trailed by just two at 20-18 at 9:46 before UCLA went on a 17-6 run to move out to a 37-24 advantage with 3:55 to play. The All-Stars never got closer than 11 points the rest of the way. UCLA led 45-29 at intermission and built the advantage up to as many as 35 points, 79-44, with 8:21 to play in the game.
Quinn, who converted 11 of her 15 field goal attempts and both free throws, also had four assists and three steals. She was joined in double figures scoring by freshman Amanda Livingston, who totaled 14 points, 12 coming in the second half of play, and grabbed five rebounds. Sophomore Nikki Blue chipped in with 11 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.
