Southern California's Keao Burdine Named Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.- Southern California outside hitter Keao Burdine has been named Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week for Nov. 10-16, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Burdine, a junior from Pico Rivera, Calif., led the Women of Troy to a pair of victories over No. 7 Stanford and No. 9 California, clinching the Pac-10 title in the process. Burdine hit .544 with 40 kills (5.71 kpg) in 68 attack attempts. She also collected 27 digs (3.86 dpg) and four blocks (0.57 bpg). In the win over Stanford, Burdine led all players with a career-high 24 kills, while hitting .649. She also tallied 18 digs, three blocks and one ace in the match. Against Cal, she hit .419 with 16 kills, nine digs, one block and an ace.

The Women of Troy have won 36 matches in a row, 16 straight at home and 31 consecutive road matches. Entering the final week of conference play, USC remains the No. 1 team in the nation, a spot it has held in every week of the season.

This is the first weekly honor for Burdine, and USC's 33rd Player of the Week all-time.
