UC Irvine Head Coach Charlie Brande
'We are fortunate to have won a number of five game matches this year. I thought that we did a great job of making some adjustments in order to win tonight.

'Missouri was bigger than I thought they would be. As the match went on, it felt more equal, size-wise. We were able to get crucial kills at crucial times.'

'Tonight's victory is a reward for all of the team's hard work and perseverance this season.'

'This was a huge match for us tonight. It is the first time that we've played in Pauley Pavilion. There were a lot of nerves heading into the match. To overcome that nervousness was key to our victory.'

Missouri Head Coach Susan Kreklow
'It was a very competitive match tonight. I felt like Irvine did a very nice job throughout the match keeping the pressure on. For the most part, we were very aggressive and did what we needed to do to win the match. However, the difference was costly unforced errors that cost us the match.'

'This was a positive learning experience for our team. In every game, we had opportunities. We just didn't make the plays we needed to make in order to win.'
