Stanford's Matt Lottich Named Men's Basketball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - STANFORD guard Matt Lottich has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for December 2-7, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Lottich, a senior guard from Winnetka, Ill., led the Cardinal to an upset of No. 1 Kansas on December 6 in the Wooden Classic. Lottich scored 18 points on 5-of-5 (.333) shooting, he was 5-of-10 from three-point range and 3-of-3 from the free throw line. He added five rebounds, four assists and one steal for the Cardinal.

The Cardinal continued their hot start with the win over the top-ranked Jayhawks and remain perfect at 4-0 to start the season.

This is the first weekly honor for Lottich, and the 32nd award all-time for the Cardinal.
