Volleyball Season Award Winners Announced

PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Washington State women's volleyball awards for the 2003 season were handed out at the team's banquet Sunday night at the Pullman Quality Inn.

Senior Zanda Bautre was selected by her teammates as the most valuable player and took home the award for best defensive player.

Redshirt freshman Kristen Carlson won the best offensive player award. Freshman Liz Spear received the most improved award.

The top academic award went to sophomore Megan Camp. Junior Alison Billingsley's work in the weight room earned them the top award from the strength and conditioning coaches and her team selected her for the Cougar Inspirational award.
