Brandon Browner Adds Another Postseason Honor

Corvallis, Ore. - Oregon State University cornerback Brandon Browner has been selected to The Sporting News 2003 Freshman All-American team, it was announced Tuesday.

Browner, a redshirt-freshman from Sylmar, Calif., started 11 of the 12 regular season games this season. The 6-4 Browner enters the 12th Annual Las Vegas Bowl Dec. 24 with 42 tackles for the season and two forced fumbles. The conference's Freshman of the Year also ranks third in the Pac-10 and ninth in the nation for interceptions with six.

The postseason honor is the second for Browner by a national media service. He was selected to the Freshman All-American team last month.
