Cougars Down Montana, 64-50

MISSOULA (AP) - Randy Green scored 18 points and Marcus Moore added 17 Saturday as the Washington State Cougars downed Montana 64-50.
The Cougars (5-2) scored the game's first eight points, led wire-to-wire and held the Grizzlies (3-5) to 18 first-half points. Green was only 5-of-15 from the field, but hit four of six 3-pointers. The first, with 11:42 in the first half, gave WSU its largest lead at 19-4.
The Cougars led 26-18 at halftime and Montana never got closer than five points, at 33-28, on a pair of Roy Booker free throws with 11:30 remaining.
Lance Den Boer hit back-to-back 3-pointers to push the Cougar lead to 48-36 with six minutes left.
Montana, which got 17 points from Kamarr Davis, never got closer than eight after that. The Grizzlies shot just one of 16 on 3-pointers and 38 percent overall, and were outrebounded 36-19.
Kevin Criswell, who was moved to point guard, had 14 points for Montana and Booker added 10.
Den Boer had 11 for the Cougars.
