Oregon Handles Broncos 94-71

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Luke Jackson scored 23 points and Andre Joseph added 15for Oregon in a 94-71 victory over Santa Clara on Wednesday night.

Jackson scored 15 points in the second half as the Ducks (4-1) turned afour-point halftime lead into a blowout. It was Oregon's 24th consecutive winat McArthur Court against a nonconference opponent. The last loss came on Dec.11, 1999, against Cal-State Northridge.

Jackson was 8-for-16 from the field and had six rebounds for the Ducks, whoshot 53 percent. Aaron Brooks added 13 points for Oregon, while Jay Andersonhad 11 and Ian Crosswhite 10.

Doron Perkins scored 20 for the Broncos (6-4), who had won six straight,while Sean Denison added 16.

Santa Clara went through a 7:25 stretch in the second half in which it madeonly one field goal. In the meantime, Oregon took off on a 15-8 run that madeit 69-52.

A 3-pointer by Anderson put the Ducks up 76-56 with 7:21 to play. Oregon ledby as many as 28 points.
