Leilani Estavan Named Pac-10 Women's Basketball Player Of The Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Oregon State University senior guard Leilani Estavan was named Pacific-10 Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 15-21, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced on Monday.
Estavan, from Los Angeles, CA, averaged 17.0 points, 4.0 assists and 2.5 rebounds in a pair of Oregon State victories as the Beavers upset No. 19 Utah and knocked off University of Cincinnati.
On the weekend, Estavan buried 5-of-7 3-point field goal attempts and shot 57-percent from the floor (12-of-27).
Estavan scored nine points on 4-of-7 shooting and dished out a season-high seven assists to lead the Beavers past Utah by a 71-62 margin on Dec. 16. In Oregon State's 61-55 road victory at Cincinnati on Dec. 19, she scored a career-high 25 points, with eight coming in the final 2:22 to seal the victory.
The road win against the Bearcats was OSU's third in a row away from Gill Coliseum and gave Cincinnati its first back-to-back home losses in seven years.
The Player of the Week honor is the first in Estavan's career and marks the 49th all-time selection for Oregon State.
The Beavers return to the court on Dec. 27 when they open Pac-10 play against No. 7 Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Maples Pavilion.
