USC Alumni Association Hosts Free Rose Bowl Pep Rally

The USC Alumni Association will host the 'Granddaddy of All Pep Rallies' on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Universal CityWalk from 6 to 8 p.m.

The event will be emceed by 1540-The Ticket USC Insider host Petros Papadakis and will feature special Trojan football celebrities, including 1979 Heisman Trophy winner Charles White and members of USC's 1978 national championship football team. Also in attendance will be players from USC's 2003 NCAA champion women's volleyball team and the USC Spirit of Troy Trojan Marching Band.

Following the free pep rally, all USC fans are invited to a VIP Post-Rally Reception from 8 to 10 p.m. at Universal CityLoft. Admission is $25 and includes priority access to the USC Party Zone, live entertainment and drink specials throughout the night.

The No. 1-ranked USC Trojans will play the No. 4 Michigan Wolverines in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1, 2004.

The 2003 season marks the 25th anniversary of USC's last national football championship. The 1978 Trojans, coached by John Robinson and led by such players as Charles White, Ronnie Lott, Pat Howell, Brad Budde, Anthony Munoz, Dennis Smith and Riki Gray, went 12-1 and beat Michigan in the Rose Bowl. Members of that 1978 team have been invited to attend the pep rally and VIP Post-Rally Reception.
