UCLA Signs Sixth Junior College Student-Athlete

Justin Hickman (6-2, 255), a freshman defensive lineman from Glendale (AZ) Community College, has signed a letter of intent to attend UCLA, it was announced today. Hickman, who will have four years to complete three seasons of eligibility, will enroll at UCLA for the Winter Quarter.
Hickman, who attended Phoenix (AZ) St. Mary's High School, was named to the first team WSFL (Western States Football League) and ACCAC (Arizona Community College Athletic Conference) in 2003 after making 60 tackles, including 10 quarterback sacks.
He is the sixth junior college student-athlete to sign with UCLA since the signing period began on Dec. 17. He joins quarterback David Koral (6-2, 210), linebacker Dan Nelson (6-1, 240), defensive lineman Kyle Morgan (6-3, 263), tight end Matt Raney (6-4, 245) and offensive lineman Marc Villafuerte (6-3 ï¿½, 290) as new Bruins who will enroll at UCLA in January.
Hickman, Nelson and Villafuerte will be sophomores for the 2004 season while Koral, Morgan and Raney will be juniors.
