OSU Players Accept All Star Bids

CORVALLIS-Four Oregon State football players-Dwan Edwards, Tim Euhus, James Newson and Richard Seigler-have accepted invitations to participate in postseason all-star games.

Tight end Tim Euhus and middle linebacker Richard Seigler will play in the January 10 East-West Shrine Game at PacificBell Park in San Francisco.

Defensive tackle Dwan Edwards and split end James Newson will play in the January 24 SeniorBowl in Mobile, Alabama.

Euhus and Seigler were both first-team All-Pac-10 selections this year. Euhus is the second-leading receiver on theBeavers' squad this year with 42 receptions for 524 yards and seven touchdowns. Euhus, a three-year starter, has 91 careerreceptions for 1,225 yards and nine touchdowns.Seigler, a four-year starter, is OSU's all-time career defensive point leader. He is a two-time All-Pac-10 pick.

Edwards is a two-year starter at defensive tackle and was a second-team All-Pac-10 pick this year.

Newson was selected first team All-Pac-10 this year and has been a three-year starter. Newson holds all of OSU'scareer records for receiving with 210 catches for 3,515 yards and 20 touchdowns.
