Huskies Fall To Oregon, 84-74

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Luke Jackson scored 24 points and reserve guard JamesDavis added 19 off the bench to spark Oregon to a 84-74 victory againstWashington on Thursday.

Davis connected on 5-of-6 3-pointers, including four during a three-minutestretch of the first half that brought the Ducks back from their only deficitof the game.

Jackson, who also had seven rebounds and seven assists, scored 16 of hispoints in the second half. Ian Crosswhite also scored 14 for Oregon (7-4, 2-2Pac-10) in the team's first game at McArthur Court since a win against SantaClara on Dec. 17.

The victory reversed a two-game losing streak for the Ducks, while theHuskies (5-8, 0-5) have lost five straight.

Davis gave the Ducks a lift in the first half after a sluggish start putthem in a 16-12 hole early on.

The senior, who started 32 games last season, made 3-pointers on threeconsecutive possessions to put Oregon up 21-18.

Andre Joseph continued the Ducks long-range hot streak with a 3-pointer ofhis own.

Then Davis followed with his fourth 3-pointer of the half to give Oregon a27-24 lead with 9:31 to play before the break, a lead it would neverrelinquish.

Up 64-56 with just under eight minutes remaining, the Ducks went on a 12-2run to put the game away. Jackson scored eight points during that span, whileDavis added another 3-pointer.

Brandon Roy scored 18 points to lead the Huskies, while Nate Robinson had16, and Will Conroy 15.
