Yokers Named Second Team All-West Region

BERKELEY, Calif. - California senior midfielder Kimberly Yokers has been chosen a 2003 second team NSCAA All-West Region honoree, marking her second straight choice to that team .
Yokers has excelled on the soccer field and in the classroom during her four years at Cal. The U.S. under-21 national team member tied for the Golden Bears' lead for points (8) and goals (3) in 2003. She finished her career with 10 goals and 14 assists for 34 points, but her value to the team went beyond statistics. Despite being one of the most fouled players on the field, Yokers started 79 of the 80 games she donned the blue and gold during her career.
Also, in 2003, the Seattle, Wash., product garnered her second pick to the first team All-Pac-10 squad. As a sophomore, Yokers earned second team All-Pac-10 and third team all-region accolades.
After being chosen twice to the honorable mention Academic All-Pac-10 team, Yokers received second team recognition as a senior. She also landed on the 2003 second team Academic All-District VIII team.
