Women's Tennis Pac-10 Indoor Championship - Day One Results

SEATTLE, Wash. - USC women's tennis suffered a rough start to the 2004 Pac-10 Indoor Championships on Friday, Jan. 16, being held at UW's Lloyd Nordstrom Tennis Center in Seattle.

Luana Magnani and Dianne Matias, the Women of Troy's only two representatives in the singles tournament, both fell in the first round of competition. Magnani withdrew from her first round match against Washington's Dea Sumantri and Matias was eliminated by UCLA's Alex McGoodwin, 7-5, 6-3.

Matias and Judy DeVera will compete in the Flight II Doubles draw, facing Kristen Case and Monica Wiesener of California in the opener.
