Josh Childress Named NABC First Team All-American

Overland Park, Ks - Josh Childress, the 2004 Pacific-10 Player of the Year, has added another prestigious honor to his resume. Childress, a junior forward, has been named first team All-American by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, Childress joins Jameer Nelson(St. Joseph's), Emeka Okafor (Connecticut), Lawrence Roberts (Mississippi State) and Andre Emmett (Texas Tech).

This is the second first team All-America selection for Childress in the past week. On March 5,Childress was named first team All-American to the Adolph F. Rupp team.

Childress, who has helped lead Stanford to a 26-1 record, a Pac-10 championship and a #2 national ranking, leads Stanford in scoring (15.2 ppg) and rebounding (7.4 rpg).
